Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora. may not be what you want. its a romance story about teenagers but takes place in a hospital - arguable ending

Well for Hanbun no tsuki ga noboru sora, that was the best ending possible for the situation they were in. But it bases mostly inside the hospital except for the one occasion where they go to the school so not too sure if it falls under high school romance. Although the age for the main characters are around there.
