WTF was this!? W. T. F. Does it make any sense to chop a novel in half and throw out the rest? This was not a conclusion! It certainly was nice to see the Nora arc wrapped up but the story is not over; did Lawrence and Horo ever get to Horo's destination? How long did it take? What else happened while they were getting there? What happens to Lawrence after Horo returns to her home (assuming this is the case)??? Agh!!! *frazzles hair in frustration* The series was progressing wonderfully until this silly "ending" came up!

In the end this was really just for the sake of promoting the novels hm? Dammit... I've already got the L*S and ARIA novels to worth through; Spice and Wolf is going to be an absolute bitch. Argg.

Welcome to our joy and pain? yeah, its obvious the producers were far too uncertain about the success of the anime.

Yeah, I've already ordered all the novels (I should get them in mid-April if they ship on schedule). The anime covered the first two novels in a very condensed form. There's also a manga adaptation that just released (3/2008) but my order is on a slow boat.

And well.. that's the point of all anime in some respect: adverts for the mechandise.

There are people working on a translation -- that actually looks pretty readable so far (in case you want to slack on your Japanese skills ).
