o 50% of the episode were fanservice of the pointless kind. The "put the character in an apron/catgirl costume/school mizugi/meido outfit etc etc" bore.
o Akane (mostly normal) was getting on my nerves for being overly bitchy-possessive of Natsuru. The episode was very unkind to her and showed her least glorious sides - I thought that her treatment of Kaede was WAY out of line. And her performance during the contest underlines what I consider her problem in the show: Her Kämpfer approach is very one-track-mind and limited, in fighting AND in dealing with issues. I hope for some development here.
o We had some more Kaede swooning over Natsuru. However, she scored quite some points with me for her handling of male Natsuru, which was pleasantly fair. Still hardwired on female Natsuru, but at least pursuing her in an acceptable way.
o Shizuku was successful at her priorities. First, to protect Kaede from Akane. Second, to play gallant defender of mostly-uncovered Natsuru. And finally, in knocking out her competition. Literally. Made me chuckle. However, out of all the girls, she has by far the longest way to go: Natsuru _fears_ her and reacts negatively to whatever she says and does (even though it tends to be to his benefit overall). However, in the end, it was her who drew the first blood: She stole Natsuru's first kiss from his male form. It will be interesting to see how this will affect what he is thinking of Shizuku
o Very interesting preview: Mikoto in Kämpfer form, tears in the eyes of many girls, and Natsuru (male) leaning in to kiss Kaede
