Well the pairing of Touma and Mikoto will never happened as the original material is concern. Well for now that is. Plus the next good interaction of Touma and Mikoto is in vol 16 and after that you will need to wait for vol 22 and she only appears pretty short.

Mikoto fans should just cherish this time that Mikoto is in full glory.

I prefer Itsuwa more and

Lessar too but she's not part of the harem or she even likes Touma. For her all is work and she just likes to mess up with Touma

The episode itself did a great work on the pacing though I feel it kinda rushed but still keeping all things together and finished before the actual story starts is a good way to manage things.
