One of the Laughing Coffin members infiltrated Heathcliff's guild and interfered with Kirito's initiation test, killing all the other participants, and almost Kirito himself except that Asuna arrived, saving his life until the FC member played on Asuna's morality to trick her into lowering her guard, and he would have killed her except that Kirito recovered from his paralysis "sickness" and rescued her having no choice but to kill the FC member in the process. The FC's last word was "murderer" and he died laughing.
