I don't think so, not anymore so than using names like "Luffy", "Naruto", or "Ichigo". I mean technically every time we say Ichigo's name we're saying strawberry in English. In comparison we could reverse it and use "Yuusha" (I think?) for the MC's name here and it'd achieve the same thing.
I honestly like it, and find it to integrate the characters into the story extremely well. It makes it seem like they're fulfilling roles necessary to make a story like this operate well, yet at the same time adding a fresh new perspective to the classic roles we've familiarized ourselves with throughout the years (whether it be video games, stories, or other media).
