When it comes to JC Staff: Kasai + Kuroda (the oldschool noitamina team - Honey and Clover, Nodame Cantabile) > Nagai + Okada (Toradora, Ano Hana). Kuroda + Nagai funny enough did Ano Natsu via J.C. Staff last season which was pretty good. So yeh, production staff is much more important than the studio.
However, due to Okada schizophrenic tendencies as of late (produces/adapts good stuff like Wandering Son, Ano Hana and Hanasaku Iroha, whilst equally producing travesties/lolwut series in Aquarion EVOL, Black Rock Shooter and AKB0048), she drives me bonkers. It's like flipping a coin to determine whether she's doing something "legit good" or "balls to the walls crazy". And in every single one of her latest series which I just named (bar Black Rock Shooter) involved a crossdresser. And yes, Aquarion and AKB0048 most definitely has crossdressing as well. That's why I'm scared for this series
