Then that is no longer Muv Luv alternative as we know the world. It just becomes another playground for SRW to play in. If you just handwave and clear any plot devices not wanted, whats the point? It becomes just like the Dog Days battle for fun and furry.

The point of MLA is that this is what real war with aliens looks like from an anime POV. They could have just as easily made it with SRW standards, as Ayu-Mayu Alternative and several pre-production script planning showed, but that was too common and would have made the VN a joke.

At the very least keep some elements of the world. Or it will end up like Eureka Seven where everything can fly regardless of the Trapar density, which was a main plot point behind the series mechanics.
