If it comes at the cost of gameplay and fun than it will be ignored outside of plot revelance and events. Just like how when Godannar was in SRWK and L they ignore the fact that the rest of the team from other series should be going berserk just like Go is and that no matter what happens Go never goes berserk before that story event even if you never deploy him or always deploy him.
No one really complained about that. Then again no one complains that units that can fly don't need to have their thrusters on unless they're attacking something. It's all for convience really and to cut costs for something srw players really don't care about.
Besides, they can still offer how grim Muv-Luv Alternate is through the story even if they don't have Euroasia completely infested and demolished by BETA(since a lot of other series need those areas still around). Just like how they managed to work Shin Getter Robo Armageddon and Gurren Lagann into the z2 Verse while still keeping the general theme alive without compromising the story despite the fact that the z2 world isn't completely destroyed.
