Well, they haven't released any eroge since WA2 so it may feel that way. Now they are more into normal rated games in the name of Aquaplus, just the same staffs.
The first season was really good except for the pacing near the end, so it might be setting the expectation too high to ask for same quality, and it's a new story afterall. But I think we can at least expect something above Tear to Tiara anime.
