Spoiler #1
Spoiler:
- After finding out Momoji was also cured, Akito goes balistic and stabs Kurono, saying everyone was leaving her.
Spoiler #2
Spoiler:
- Akito runs off to kyou/yuki/shigure's place
Spoiler #3
Spoiler:
- Kyou asks Tohru if she likes him, followed by "aren't you stupid?" ("omae ore no kotto sukin nano ka, baka ja ne no?")
Spoiler #4
Spoiler:
- Kyou then reveals to Tohru that he has known her mom for a long time. And we flashback to the past for a bit. Tohru's mom had worked near Kyou's old school. She sees him crying one day because he's not sure if he should go back to his shishou's place. They start talking, and she shows him Tohru's pic and talks about her. He gets attached to her from that point on, just from the pic and hearing her mom talk about her.
Another day, he sees Kyouko (Tohru's mom) crying, she says Tohru has gone missing. He promises to find her for sure and goes searching for her.
In the meantime, Kyouko comes back smiling saying she's been found and he sees her holding a red cap. Kyou gets all mad because that cap was the one that shishou bought for him, which flew off in the wind and found later on by Yuki who picked it up. But now he doesnt want it anymore cuz yuki had it.
And then he runs off after finding out that it was Yuki who found Tohru, whom he had a crush on, and yells to Kyouko "Kyouko no baka!" and runs off.
Spoiler #5
Spoiler:
- A few days later he spots Kyouko standing on the road and a car rushing towards her. He stretches out his hand, and hesitates for a moment before grabbing her to pull her back, thus saving her. But he hesitates because if he grabs onto her he might turn into a cat. And in that split second of hesitation, the car hits her dead on and she dies.
Back to the present, he tells Tohru that he's responsible for her mom's death and that she has to accept that fact.
Spoiler #6
Spoiler:
- Kyou tells Tohru there is more to the story, right before Kyouko died, he went besides her, and she says "Zettaini yurusanai" before dying. That roughly translates to "I definitely will not forgive you".
Tohru then says she isn't sure why her mom said that, and that she is sure that isn't what her mom had meant. And that if she did mean it that way, then she would have to disagree with her mom.
She finally says she still loves him regardless. (Awww)
Spoiler #7
Spoiler:
- Kyou doesnt accept this, and walks off. We then see akito coming out of the bushes, she had been listening to their entire conversation. She says to Tohru "Now you know the truth, will you leave too?"
Tohru then does her Tohru thing, and says things dont have to be like this, that she loves kyou, etc...
Akito was riled up at first but then starts to accept Tohru. She extends her hand to Akito, and Akito also extends her hand to Tohru... in the final moments when those two were about to accept each other...
Spoiler #8
Spoiler:
- The cliff where Tohru was standing on gave out and she falls onto the ground from high up and injures herself fatally.
Akito runs to the house and starts panicking, calling for help, screaming that Tohru is hurt. Shigure happens to be there, and asks if it was Akito that pushed her off, and she says no, but that she did stab kurono. Everyone runs to Tohru's side.
She's bleeding a lot and doesn't look like she's going to make it for much longer.
Kyou then comes by her side, and repeats "everything's going to be okay"... and then...

That's all interesting. To be honest I used to be a major furaba fan. First the anime, then the manga, which I read regularly. But eventually the prospect of Tohru/Kyou-ness began to annoy me. I mean, I find Tohru/Kyou as appealing as ketchup on icecream. I don't know, I just never cared for kyou that much but suddenly he became her love interest and Yuki had some convenient love interest and in my view it was all very lame. And it seemed like the author was riding this "Tohru is your savior" theme to the death. That and the artwork just went from bad to worse. I have been on a furuba hiatus but I may start reading it again.
