BTW this is the first time I've seen another anime about shogi, the other being King of Shogi (Shion no Ou), the only difference is that this could be like Ro-Kyu-Bu! with shogi and less fanservice.

I read somethere that this LN is actually quite popular among shogi players because author has decent knowledge of shogi and has written the MC from his profeessional shogi player friend.
