He did say something about taking Matsuri's life because he needed it, not because she 'was a bane of existence to people'. At least that was the vibe I got. Apparently it might have something to do with the girl that laid dying on the floor in one of his flashbacks.

actually i thought that he that matsuri is an threat to people around her and so decides to take her out...still little have comfirmed as to why hs doing it but i also think that its in connection with the...

as i see it there are few options as to why hes hunting matsuri ~

1) matsuri was the reason why that girl died...

2) a person who is like matsuri (thinking that if she isnt unique ie there are other vampires out there) killed the girl and hes just trying to exterminate the whole race as revenge ~

3) its a misunderstanding and he will soon find out that hes making a huge mistake...
