I think I've found a keeper with this show.

I can't get over the art style. Even if I didn't like the story I think I'd watch this just for the "ooh, pretty" factor. I've also memorized the OP and ED lyrics. ^^;

I saw the American movie version a while ago, but the anime actually got me to read the novel after four episodes and I decided not to watch any more until I'd finished the novel. Went by real quick for a 1000+ page book, and now I'm caught up to episode 7. ^^

Cool how they managed to make Haydee stand out in an already exotic place (I've been wondering, how do you pronounce her name? I like the way it looks written, but don't know how to say it). I like the adaptation of Ali being a "doll." Fits with the futuristic setting.

I can't wait to see the Count's plans come into fruition. Personally, I like seeing what kinds of changes were made to the anime storyline and comparing.

Spoiler for the novel: Looking forward to the Villefort events the most- I loved those parts in the novel. Especially the poisonings, which I think we can say for sure now the anime will include. I was wondering if Valentine's and Maximilien's romance would be more "toned down" in the anime. Now that I'm caught up, nope, doesn't look like it...in the novel they were so melodramatic. Most of the time when they were together, I was inwardly snickering rather than sympathizing. ^^;
