Probably morning star (though he doesn't learn it except for his angel counterpart) or perhaps megidoladyne like he used in DeSu 1?
It did looks like some blast of light so I assume that it's an almighty spells...

I agree with this. It might be quite decent as a standalone anime but pretty much interesting if you already play the game. But at least despite the pacing, I might still understand what's happening in the anime if I hadn't play the game itself.
