third on the sales list the week it was released with 227,605 copies sold. It fell out of the top-fifty list a few weeks later with cumulative sales of just under 369,000 copies.
Overall, in 2012, Chihayafuru placed
sixteenth in total manga sales at just under 2.5 million copies.
