Novel ending

The reveal that Mikami-sensei is Reiko seems pretty stupid... I wouldn't have minded if Reiko intentionally tried to disguise herself as another person (with magic or science) but she didn't. Her role as the homeroom teacher wasn't meant to be a secret. It's just that certain (basic) information was intentionally hidden from the readers/viewers.
Like Mikami-sensei's name was never mentioned or Reiko's last name was never mentioned. Kouichi making no mention of his aunt being the teacher. Their personalities seemed quite different. Since both of them are in class 3, why didn't they discuss the recent deaths or the curse at home? It was just Kouichi asking Reiko about her past 15 years ago in class 3 and she responds as if it had nothing to do with her at the present even though she's the homeroom teacher. Or if Reiko could talk to Kouichi at home but not at school (during his non-existent period), why didn't she tell him about it?
