Simply put: it's just sad that a bunch of talking heads and some cut scenes are better in conveying a story better than an entire piece of animation worth 26 episodes, 30 minutes each. The story isn't even the most imaginative and complicated thing ever, and somehow the anime manages to make the experience even worse.

If this is going to be considered as some sort of 'original game purist' elitism on our part, whining and ranting with the tips of our noses pointing upwards, then so be it. At this point, I practically feel privileged that I'm able to adore the original story as it is.
