This week on Hyouka! SherlockOreki is called in to solve a fictional mystery. After watching The Blair Witch ProjectCloverfield he announces that Yuki Nagato is the killer, and then goes home and snorts cocaine plays his violin.

Actually, no, this episode kicks off what promises to be the next multi-episode arc.

In the teaser, we learn that the screenwriter has burned the master copy of the script after getting into a mood from too much tequila. Havelock Vetinari and Batman then conspire to get Sherlock Oreki to recreate the ending for them. We also learn that Eru L. Chitanda doesn't like the motha<GITAH CHORD> keys on her motha<GITAH CHORD> keyboard.

After the credits, the Classics Club learns that they've been invited to a private screening of The Adventures of Mikuru Asahina Mystery (TODO: Make up better title.) Satoshi recognizes their host as VetinariIrisu who singlehandedly stopped the Apocalypse of Moe by arranging to have the Unseen University think that banishing K-On! back to their own reality was their idea.

The movie, starring a guy who came from the "Yell louder, the half-deaf guy in the back can't hear you!" school of acting, some actors from the "We paid these guys in beer" school of acting, and Yuki Nagato; is suitably atrocious. It ends abruptly, and it's all a setup to get Oreki to do some real work, for a change; complete with THE HYPNOTOAD Chitanda using her stare to . . . ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD.
