Well, he has had them only for a couple of months, so it's no surprise.
My guess is to master them, he has to familiarize himself with his new powers, which can only happen in combat.
Imagine him training with the [Boar], how many building will he destroy until he has mastered it? The same with [White Stallion], exactly how should he train with destructive incarnations like them?
