Yeah...it's terrible. Honestly turned me off this novel a little because how can you keep teasing it, then hint there'll be some conclusion to this and then completely ignore it. The annoying thing is, I believe after the tentacle witches came into the story, there's still some teasing about their relationship (for eg. when nightingale got injured on a mission, iirc). What happened to Roland's guilt about this whole thing? Ah, pisses me off.
Is it Anna that's blocking, or the author's wife?
