Yes, it is possible for the first question. For the second, somewhat yes and no. Traditionally speaking, Green avatars are usually CQC types but depending on person's heart, it can have some extra qualities. Take a look at Cyan Pile. He is supposed to be a close range combatant given his color but his Pile Bunker can be considered a long-range attack under Red.
