Considering the comedic tone of the series, I doubt that it's the end. Kureha could perfectly beat Jiro up as she has never ever done before if she, for some reason; identifies Jiro as the one Subaru likes (which -I think- is what has been building up for a while).

There is also the thing that he should still fear his mother. I wouldn't be surprised if she does return at some point, her presence should change a lot about of things are going on within the series (probably she is a "card" that the author has been saving up, I even sense some "girl worthy of Jiro" contest type of arcs "to please mother" in the future ).

In any event, Flere kinda commented already on what the author word said about ending the series, and it sounds kinda nice.

Things might be nearing the end, with the Author's Afterword even commenting on that. However, the author also said this could still just be a major milestone in the plot and the plot isn't quite finished just yet.

Next Volume, Winter holidays for the Mayo Chiki cast. Christmas, New Years, and a Opening Ceremony is coming up next. The Author said now the story might be a bit more fast paced after the events of this volume.
