The thing is, not a lot of tanks are good for quick withdrawals (unless you're a T-50-2), especially the heavies. The best one can do is back up, and hopefully find cover before several sets of guns zero in on your position.
Personally, I've found the Type 59s a nightmare to deal with, especially since I'm using the long 7.5. At long range I can't spot their weak spots well, and at short range it's usually THEIR advantage.
