Adding to the list:

Kara No Shoujo (if I didn't mention it in the beginning)

Sprite (Manga about an apartment building drifting through time)

Jisatsutou/Suicide Island

Cradle of Monsters (Basically a zombie apocalypse on a cruise ship... except the zombies remain sentient (able to use weapons, set traps etc).

Busou Chuugakusei: Basket Army (Got a small original web anime, but it deserves a full length TV series. From what I got from the web series and Google Translated novel, its essentially Red Dawn: Japan, but with French PMCs instead of Russians)

This next one is actually a web novel written by an Anglophone, I think American author, but it would never get a Hollywood movie or TV adaptation (or even a physical book publication) for reasons that should be obvious once you read the plot synopsis

The Salvation War series

Could be two seasons, one for Armageddon? and a second for Panthocide

Then demonic heralds show up declaring their dominion over the world. One of these demons is engaged by a flight of US F/A-18 Super Hornets from an aircraft carrier, and shoot missiles at them... and it turns out demons die if they are killed. The flying demons are shot down. Shortly afterwards, a demonic army appears in Iraq, only to be annihilated by tanks, artillery, and air strikes. This leads to an international coalition of almost every nation on earth declaring war on both God and Satan.... and crushing the superhuman but bronze-age level angels and demons with modern firepower. Epic scenes include US, Iranian, British, and other nations tanks working together to run down demonic horder, four Massive Ordnance Penetrator fuel-air bunker busters levelling Satan's fortress in hell and a fight between the angel Uriel and the Airborne Laser System!
