I wouldn't know how it stands as an anime alone since I playd the game first and judge it by that context.

I'm checking out Chaos;Head right now (only on chapter 3) and I didn't realize it was connected to S;G in more ways than just the location.
Like people already mentioned, it's not a direct sequel so there's no reason to go out and watch/play C;H beforehand,
but it would've been pretty cool to be familiar with some things from C;H before going into S;G!
All of a sudden, those text messages from Feiris were not so pointless after all, lol. There's probably more to that list since I'm only on Ch3 for C;H.
The above reason is really not a big deal (just a little easter egg thing at best), and I dunno if the S;G anime will be impacted like that, but you guys should just check out the C;H game anyway! Can't hurt right
