You can understand why they exist if you read the
Forum Spoiler Policy but if you don't want to do that I can give you a couple of reasons: to comment on episodes that were already aired but who haven't been subbed and to make small comparisons to the original/previous adaptation like those done on the this very thread as long as they don't cover stuff that can potentially be covered in the show in the future.
