I didn't mind it. It wasn't the same as the novel explanation, right? I hear the circumstances for that were different. I imagine if they used the novel explanation, a lot of people would be pissed off.

Seeing how apparently that scene stayed true to the novels, I believe the novel-readers have the answer to that.
