Twin Stick project announced for A Certain Magical Virtual-On
The company,
Tanita, announced yesterday that it started a development project of a Twin-Stick to the game A Certain Magical Virtual-On, which was released on 15th February in Japan. The company has created a
Twitter account dedicated to this project.
For the anecdote, on January 22, a competition between SEGA and Tanita took place in the premises of the second. They challenged themselves on the Dreamcast version and in case of victory, SEGA wanted Tanita to put a poster of the new Virtual-On in the home of the company.
But Tanita had a team of tough guys with veterans of the video game world, result, 3 defeats of SEGA on 5 games!
Tanita's big boss, Mr. Tanita is himself a fan of the series and therefore wanted to develop the ideal controller for Virtual-On; namely a twin-stick.
Tanita is best known for its
scales and measuring devices related to health and physical activity, so it is quite surprising to see them develop a device for game consoles. That said, the Twin-Stick will be equipped with heart rate sensors, so they stay in their specialty.
No prices or release date have been announced yet.
