Going to provide something about this, just because the manga showed something that can be misleading.

Spoiler for LN:

In the LN the rape and deaths happened too, but after that it would never happen again. There are lots of deaths and some badass scenes.

The MC is very capable, with a serious attitude most of the time while (obviously) the girls fall for him after looking how manly he is - add sarcarsm here -.
