After Keitaro bombs another mock test, Granny Hina sends over another girl to tutor Keitaro. The girl's name is Miduho Fujisawa, and she is a Tokyo U student. Throughout the game she makes reference to the promise she and Keitaro made when they were young to go to Tokyo U together.

In the end it is revealed that she truly is the girl Keitaro made a promise to all those years back, but after seeing how happy Keitaro is with Naru, she decides not to tell him and leave Hinata. If you did exceptionally well in the game, she actually confesses to Keitaro and they become a couple.

So there... Miduho is the "promise girl", it's not Naru or Mutsumi. But she only appears in the Dreamcast Game, she is completely absent from the anime and the manga. It's a shame because she is quite a cool character.

[spoiler] THE CONFUSED N00B WAS RIGHT! At first it makes you believe it's Naru but IT'S NOT. I knew there was a 3rd chick. In love Hina Again you almost believe it's Keitaro's little sister but it turns out she was the reciever of another promise.

Naru: So who's the girl in his memories?

Mutsume: There are alot of them. We are in his memories too.

Also if you watch the flasback that goes with it to me it looks like there are 3 girls. Mutsume and Naru watching.

also- how do you know the dreamcast game is correct? Honestly I think the writers did all this to confuse the audience as all hells and made it unclear on purpose(an excuse or honest reason who knows).

I'm still thinking no body knows. but Moe-chan how come the charactars acted like they recognized her?

*oh and I knew they'd get together. But getting married is one of those obvouis things you'd rather atleast be happy to see/somewhat shocked.

It's just one of those things you want to see for the first time.
