The quality is pretty impressive. Everything about this episode screams quality you'd expect in a first episode. I hope this lasts.
The attention to detail isn't just limited to the visuals either. If you played the game, you'd also probably notice some subtleties in the way certain characters act.
At the risk of revealing a few game spoilers, I would just like to say that I was a bit surprised...
On the other hand, I was pleasantly surprised on how much harder Tear kicks butt in the anime. Well, she's not the usual please-save-me RPG spellcasting heroine, but holy Lorelei, my love for this character just went deeper thanks to this episode.
All in all, a very promising start.
Next episode: Jade, Anise, Ion and cheagles. Can't wait.
