I don't know about the bold lines, but the "lipstick" is pretty much a Production I.G trademark. You've got Shibasaki in Toushoukan Sensou, Balsa in Seirei no Moribito, Motoko in GITS: SAC, Saya in Blood+, Yayoi in Psycho Pass, and probably others I'm forgetting. Every time I see these kind of lips on a female character, I know I'm watching an I.G show.
