Yup, I agree with you. If they don't outright spell it out next week, it's pretty hard to imagine that there'd still be much room to move.
Spoiler for More anime comparison musings:
One thing I've been thinking about, continuing my concern about how they resolve the Satsuki plot... Satsuki and Yuuki are friends now, but they're also campaign enemies. As part of the campaign, given he's the underdog, he may have to try to paint her in a negative light or exploit her weaknesses (as he did in the game). So even if there's no romance there, it could be a source of conflict between him and Chisato (and the rest of the club), since they can only see her as an enemy. In addition, with the way the president was shown getting up at the end of the episode, it almost implies he's going to do something about the information he was given. Might he tell Yuuki that he should back off if he knows what's best for him? This too could have a way of forcing things back towards Chisato, but could backfire. In addition, now that Satsuki's aware of the whole situation with her sister, it could cause rifts in her family and change her motivations in general. There's a scene in the Episode 9 preview that shows Satsuki getting angry/embarrassed, but I'm not really sure what that could be referring to.
So yeah, even if we assume a Chisato end, I can't help but think they may have gone too far with Satsuki to just leave it alone now. Are they going to somehow use this to make Satsuki's campaign implode so that Yuuki has a chance at winning?
