Background:
Not much is known about this person. Rumors circulate that he used to be a TSAB officer, but so far, no evidence has been shown. He started appearing in the 45th Non-Administered Planet in the year 0056, destroying an energy plant all on his own. An Enforcer team was sent out, but when reinforcements came, the whole team had been killed, some that looked liked they were choked, and others with their arms, legs and heads cut off. He was heard again in the same planet, this time, destroying an armory, again, all by himself. This time, two Enforcer teams were sent out against him, with disastrous results, all of the squads being annihilated. Nothing was heard from him again, and the case was dropped until the Mid-Childan year 0070, where a group of mages encountered a man with a hood and something covering his entire body. The man recognized them as TSAB mages, and one of the mages in the group made a joke about him being an old man. He didn't take too kindly to it, it seems, for he killed the one who was taunting him without even moving. He then went on an assault, killing almost everyone with precise and quick strikes. He left one mage, Vincent Fiorano, alive, to tell him:"Tell your higher-ups in command that Betrüger is back. And this time, I want the Aces..." and slashed his right arm off. Fiorano told them about Betrüger and some general information about him. Since then, he has been reportedly seen everywhere, but no sightings have been confirmed. He is listed as highly dangerous, and the 216th Special Combat Unit is charged with finding him. If anybody sees him, retreat and contact both the 216th and Headquarters.
Personality:
From what has been seen before, and some guessing, his personality is listed as being a cold and cruel person who wants to fight and possibly destroy powerful mages, with the reason behind it still unknown. He will destroy anything to lure them in, and, as Fiorano has commented, considers the mages he fought as too weak and being fodder for him. He also wants the Aces to go after him, considering their talents, but Command has requested that they don't go after him. He doesn't care about the age of the combatant; as long as the person is a mage, he will destroy them. He also doesn't like being insulted. He seems to respect people with immense power, though.
Device:
Not much is known about it, except that it is a circular hilt seemingly without a blade when not in use. When used, though, a red energy blade about 4 feet long appears. Betrüger has named it "Plageus", although it is not known if it is its true name. So far, nothing in the Infinitum Library has turned up any information about the device.
Fighting Style:
His strikes are precise and deadly, and he uses his Device exclusively, barely using any spells. He is fast for his age, and it is not clear how he is able to do that.
Barrier Jacket:
Based on the description Fiorano gave, his Barrier Jacket seems to be some sort of a hooded garment that covers his entire body. There are two black-and-red designs on the sleeves of the garment, and nobody had figured out what they are used for.
Spells:
His magic type is unknown, but from the description, it seems that he can jump a short distance with his Device in the front, slashing anything that appears. Another one is that he can kill a person by destroying his mind, "imploding" it. The last spell that has been described is that a person he targets suddenly floats and seems like choking until the person is asphyxiated. There are no records of this, but there is a rumor that it is an extremely old magic style called Zerstörung, one that was banned long ago for its extreme brutality. Since there is no information on this, though, that has been found yet, we cannot confirm this.
