The Japanese teacher I had at my university is Japanese. She is probably around 50 years old. I'm sure she came from Japan. Based on the way you phrased the questions, I'll say this, she is married to a white guy who probably has a high position in the Japanese department. I imagine that it would have been
much more difficult to get a University position like that had she not married that person. However, this is entirely my opinions.
My Japanese is terrible so I can't translate this for you. T_T
