MrTerrorist that was a bad example, here is a better example. The majority of my family experienced what those people are facing on that island. Though much worse, my Grandmother, father, and mother are survivors of the Khmer Rouge. I hear stories about how it was like when I was a kid, and when I turned 14 I continue to hear the stories but this time I ask to hear them. My parents and grandmother still remember it, yet I don't see an ounce of fear in their eyes when they recalled it, they accept people can be monsters and the life that was there at the time. I hear stories of rape, people getting burn in their beds, massive gathering of machine killing, cannibalism, and much more. My family feels normal, yet they went through that. My family didn't have any friends they survived alone and when trouble did come they hid, living off frogs, snakes, and whatever they could find. Never once did they betray anyone.
