Well episode 10 sure had some more unexpected surprises in store, the twin baddies turn out to be admiral Graham's familiars in an attempt to trap Hayate and the Book of Darkness in limbo. Perhaps I could've made the connection when we found out there were two of them, but still, I wouldn't have expected those familiars to be that powerful. One thing that ticked me off about their plot is how they seemingly were ready to sacrifice Nanoha and Fate to achieve their results aswell. I'm sure those two won't be too pleased with him when they find out.

I believe that Graham's logic is that since the Book of Darkness always kills a lot of people whenever it appears, by sacrificing Fate and Nanoha he is going to save many people in the future. By paying the high price of 3 innocent lives he can save dozens or hundreds of innocent lives. His cold logic makes great sense.
