Efreet ends up tapping into too much of her power and actually goes into a cold merciless fury while fighting Nightmare; not exactly identical to, but somewhat similar to what happened with Princess in Volume 1 when she was trying to obliterate Origami. Only this time it was Efreet ending up trying to annihilate Nightmare.

It's implied that for Efreet, this is the side effect of using too much of her power; she ends up losing herself and goes into a tranquil berserker state. What I'm curious about is, considering Princess' instance, was it an isolated case, or is this really what happens when they end up tapping into their power too much?

Either way, I'd still love to see Princess vs Nightmare the rematch!

Considering that ASTs are beginning to put up more and more of a fight (Ellen was dominating the battle in Vol. 5, or so I heard), it wouldn't be far-off to have the seireis access their powers. Of course, that might just be an excuse for me simply wanting to see them in their full 霊装 glory. ;_;

Well Efreet's power had been exceptionally strong even compared to Princess, ( Shidou had healing powers as a side effect of sealing her powers, don't know if it's on purpose or the power is "leaking" out, but if her power is "leaking" out of Shidou, then Efreet on a rampage might had been simply her power, as opposed to Princess's situation where Shidou "died." I mean if the healing power really is a side effect due to her extraordinarily strong power, then its proven that her power is stronger than Princess, considering that nothing happened when Shidou sealed her power inside his body. But then again it might had just been something else entirely, like "power activate by itself due to the danger on the host's life" or something along that line.
