I don't understand his sister's action in this ep. She had a cake and doll waiting for Atsushi when he came home. That implies she expected his visit to go badly. Given Atsushi's history with adults, she probably guessed that something would go wrong with Hina's parents. She even alluded to her expectations at the end there. So why wasn't she proactive about the problem and either (1) ask Hina to say something to her parents? or (2) contact Hina's parents herself and explain the situation? Seems like she could have prevented Atsushi's disappointment if she'd acted beforehand rather than afterwards.
