Why -would- there be? There was no flashback in the original, so why would there be one here?

Also, the clapping scene was doomed to be cut. It is an important moment of characterization, but DEEN tends to cut most of those out. For instance,

Has only had Kinzo's "The one winged eagle is in your heart" scene adapted into the anime, with scenes like "Sucker merry barrells" cut out. Ghost!Kanon and Ghost!Jessica also got cut.
