Oracle buys Sun Microsystems
Well, I'm stunned. The company I work for bases its business in general consulting of several Oracle applications, so I guess this somewhat impacts my activities. Still, I'm quite surprised about this--in no way I had imagined someone like Oracle would be interested in buying Sun.
I fear for the future of MySQL, though... Let's just hope it stays alive, at least as a low-end database engine.
