Yup, that's a chapter cover illustration from the manga alright. It's very rare that any fan made art comes close to how the original artist makes it. There has been a couple R+V pics that are of the less than wholesome verity that are almost indistinguishable from at least the anime art style. But you can still tell if you look close enough.
