Say what you will about the Valentine battle being dragged out, the guy's a damned awesome character. I especially loved the flashback, even if it basically ripped off Pulp Fiction (just replace the ass with an eye socket ). Part of me actually wishes that he survives the ordeal, but..... well, he's still pretty much a major villain, so I think that's a no-no at this point. I still think it's pretty cool how he decides to negotiate with Johnny in the end, though.



BTW, the whole thing with Valentine constantly getting buried every time he goes dimension-hopping sorta reminds me Diavolo's defeat in part 5 (his alternate bodies even all get killed off after transferring his power, so).....

I was strongly reminded of Diavalo too. Diavalo's fate was far more cruel however, since he had absolutely no control over what was happening (wonder if he's still struck in this loop even now? I half-expected him to meet Valentine this chapter lol) whereas Valentine can give up and die if he so chooses since he's the one dimension hopping.

I enjoyed Valentine's backstory as well. It's interesting that the antagonist of this arc has far more noble goals in mind than the protagonist. He's very different from previous Jojo villains.
