I do wonder how many percent of Japanese SEED fans who wants to see Kira piloting a mono-eye (like u suggested) seriously, not just for the lulz. Even if the fans are open-minded about it, I doubt the directors, scriptwriters, producers and Sunrise/Bandai execs are. They just don't want to risk their wallet on it
