That had to be one of the most depressing anime episodes of 2007 for me.
Right alongside the finale of Potemayo, KAMINA!!!! and that one sad episode in Kodomo no Jikan.
As for people who say the siblings are a bit too close, yeah it is somewhat disconcerting, but it makes perfect sense since they aren't doing it for the sake of promiscuity but because they really had to rely on each other so much. In that sense, I won't care how far their relationship goes. It was borne out of a sad situation and it just happened to lead to that. I doubt a stranger or a friend could've plucked them out of their situation so conveniently.
