For your 1st question:
It is true that that Green have high defend and great indirect attack but this does not mean they have high attack power, Green King almost always win by overtime not by finished off his opponents. Moreover Lime Bell special skill is very important to prolonged fight so even if she have high def, it is better for her to be a support.
About being support or forward, you can choose however role you want as long as you have the skill to back it up. Silver Crown can also play a support role ass he can scout from place that really hard to hit except you have good long range skill. He also can switch to assault role if he find some vulnerable yet important target. He can do this because his skill allow him to do it. Think about it, if you put somebody who put all his point on agility and fly time to tank at the front, the result will be messy
