Jinki core depletion problem. It's a modern rendition of the Sword of Damocles - we don't know when it's going to drop, just that it eventually will.

Riku's own Jinki had already been used by two persons before he received it - and the other FLAG characters have been at this game for a long time already (the siblings are already showing symptoms). They are dancing with Death, whether they're actively using their Jinkis or not. In order to dodge that bullet, we need a Deus Ex Machina that will be able to neutralize the Jinki virus in the bloodstream to prevent the users from ineluctably turning into Kanshus and I doubt Human technology will achieve that - we'll probably need the appearance of a new Coffin princess to get there.

Considering that it's Moriyama Daisuke we're speaking of, I can see him pulling off a Chrno Crusade-ish bittersweet ending.
