I'd not have something like that for Dr. Isabella. Her act of defiance, in my mind, was letting the Golem escape. That's more than enough damage.

For Zev, on the other hand, it would be perfectly appropriate. Have it like this: Baldren asks Zev if he has any last words, prompting Zev to spit a small amount of blood onto Baldren's boot. Baldren, viewing this in a dismissive way, responds by (casually) telling Dirk to finish Zev off, prompting the execution.

That should work.
