Even though it's quite clear that a third season is imminent, I doubt that there will be a cliffhanger ending (this is what happens when you first finish
Code Geass.) J.C. Staff using the two extra minutes of the ED to quickly cover some important events is proof that they're at least trying to be able to end it well.
